The skin care market abounds with an extensive range of anti-aging skin care products like wrinkle creams, night creams, day creams, eye creams, anti-aging lotions and serums to name a few. While some are cheap, there are others that come with high price tags.
It is not uncommon for people to believe that paying a high price for something would get them better results. One of the primary factors contributing to the sale of expensive skin care products is the belief that they will perform better than the cheaper varieties of the same. The basic psychology of people tells them that if they shell out more money for something, then they are bound to get better results. Yet to dissuade the foul smell of chemicals or just make the products smell good, companies continue to use fragrances in their skin care products. Even if products claim to be ‘unscented’, they still contain masking fragrances to camouflage any other scents that it may contain.

‘Clinical Studies’ or ‘Research’ are terms often used by companies manufacturing skin care products to show that the products have been developed following intensive studies and research activities.
